Cultural advancement as a line of business of VGH Insurance

With the establishment of the VGH Foundation, the VGH Insurance tradition of contributing to the common good has been continued. The occasion of the 250 jubilee of Regional Fire Insurance presented itself as an exellent opportunity to this end. Thus was continued, or to be more precise carried out in another form, the public insurance corporation`s philosophy in the investment in the common good.

A further important attribute, which is also reflected in the foundation, is its regional philosophy that is its involvement and close relationship to the area. Both - a common good orientation as well as a regional philosophy - are mirrored in the foundation.The first in the selection af funding for the science area, culture with the emphasis on the preservation of historical monuments, fine arts and literature as well as benevolence and the second in the regional orientation of the Foundation`s activities - in the line of business of the VGH in Lower Saxony and Bremen.

Also a third principal of the VGH, its alliance closeness to the savings banks, is echoed in the Foundation - expressly in its close relationship with the Lower Saxony Savings Bank Association.
